Privacy & How It Works
Here's exactly what happens when you use Envoyr, and what data we collect.
What Happens When You Share a Video
You share a link
When you share from TikTok or Instagram, we receive the video URL.
We fetch the video metadata
We download the video's title, description, and audio track. We don't store the video file itself.
Audio is transcribed
The audio is sent to a transcription service to convert speech to text. The audio is deleted after transcription.
AI extracts locations
We use AI to identify place names and context from the transcript. This runs on secure servers.
Places are enriched
Identified places are matched with Google Maps data to get accurate locations, addresses, and details.
Results saved to your account
The extracted recommendations are saved and appear on your map. Only you can see them unless you add them to a shared list.

What We Don't Do
- We don't store videos - Only the URL and extracted data
- We don't sell your data - Your recommendations are yours
- We don't track your location - The app doesn't use GPS tracking
- We don't access your camera roll - We only process links you share
- We don't read your DMs - We only see content you explicitly share to Envoyr
Third-Party Services
We use these services to make Envoyr work:
Transcription and AI extraction. Audio and text are processed according to OpenAI's API data policy (not used for training).
Location data enrichment. Place names are searched to get accurate coordinates and details.
Your Data Rights
You can:
- Export your data - Coming soon
- Delete your account - Settings > Account > Delete Account
- Request your data - Contact us through the app
When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers.
Shared Lists
When you invite someone to a list:
- They can only see the recommendations in that specific list
- They can't see your other lists or recommendations outside the list
- Their access level depends on their role (Owner, Editor, or Viewer)
- You can remove members at any time
Security
- All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS)
- Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure
- We use industry-standard authentication
- Regular security reviews and updates
