Not all videos extract equally well. Here's how to get the most accurate recommendations.
What Makes a Good Video to Share
The Best Videos Have:
Creator says or shows the actual place name
Clear indication of where these places are
"Top 5" or "Best places" format = more value per share
Neighborhood names, addresses, or landmarks nearby
Examples of Great Content to Share

Examples That Don't Extract Well

Timing Your Shares
Share videos as soon as you find them. Don't save them for later - you'll forget, and that's the whole problem Envoyr solves.
The best workflow:
- See a video with places you want to visit
- Share to Envoyr immediately
- Keep scrolling
Don't worry about organizing yet. Just capture. You can organize into lists later.
When Extraction Isn't Perfect
Sometimes we can't extract everything, or a place gets mapped to the wrong location. Here's why:
Missing Places
- Not mentioned by name - If the creator never says or shows the place name, we can't extract it
- Unclear audio - Background music or mumbling can make it hard to catch place names
- Foreign languages - We support multiple languages but accuracy varies
Wrong Locations
- Common names - "The Coffee Shop" could be anywhere. We use context clues but sometimes guess wrong
- New businesses - If a place just opened, it might not be in Google Maps yet
- Temporary pop-ups - Events or pop-up locations may not have permanent map data
What You Can Do
If a place is wrong or missing:
- Check the original video for context
- The creator's profile often has location tags
- You can manually search and add places (coming soon)
Maximizing Your Recommendations
Follow travel creators
The more travel content in your feed, the more you'll find worth sharing.
Share list-format videos
"Top 10" videos give you 10 recommendations from one share.
Share before trips
If you know you're going to Tokyo, actively look for Tokyo content and share it leading up to your trip.
Check the map regularly
Open Envoyr to see your recommendations spatially. You'll notice clusters and plan routes.
